VIEWER
The main purpose of this renovation was converting three existing separate rooms (living room, dining room and kitchen) into a single open plan space. This new layout serves the needs and lifestyle of the family, while also creating a more airy and sun-lit interior.
In addition, several changes were proposed to make the house more functional and bright. These changes include the kitchen's countertop and backsplash alteration, the addition of a new kitchen island, the creation of new storage cabinets and the redesign of the existing brown tiled fireplace
This is an e-design project.

Preliminary Design for the Renovation of the "To Krasochori" Community Center – Orestiada
This project involves the preliminary study for the renovation of the interior and surrounding outdoor space of the "To Krasochori" community center in Orestiada.
The aim of the proposal is to highlight the existing building while creating a warm, functional, and flexible interior space tailored to the needs of the community center.
As part of the design, a multifunctional built-in structure was created, primarily serving as a storage unit for the community center's equipment. It also incorporates a sliding platform and a foldable screen for projections, adding further versatility. Additionally, another piece of furniture was designed with a cork finish, functioning both as a partition between the main and auxiliary spaces, and as a display area for selected objects curated by the community center.
The existing suspended ceiling will be removed to reveal the wooden roof structure, while the white floor tiles will be replaced with flooring in wood tones, contributing to a warmer and more welcoming atmosphere.
In the outdoor area, three different levels were created following the natural slope of the terrain, allowing them to be used as gathering and event spaces. The existing staircase was renovated to address worn and uneven steps. At the rear of the building, a ramp was designed for accessibility (for persons with disabilities) along with a small pergola and seating area for the members of the community center.
